A space saving duo – The washing machine basin!
Nithya N | Aug 5 2008

Have you ever wanted a product that would fit in a room comfortably without cramming up space? If yes, then Beko Entegre will surely deliver it and the posh looks will only take the desire a notch higher. Designed by Korhan this multi-purpose utility definitely grabs attention as it merges both, the sink and the washing machine giving you a washing machine basin!

On top of the machine is a waterproof control panel along with an extra drawer under the detergent box to keep personal belongings. This was a METU graduation project collaborated with Arcelik, a leading European appliance manufacturer. The fine design gives the product an elegant look and enough legroom to stand comfortably while hauling away those dirty clothes. This one has true potential and is something which would have a mass appeal, and the ones in the city with confined spaces will surely consider Beko as a blessing!

Hey, wouldn’t it be better if the designer had included a feature of recycling the water from the sink to wash the clothes....or vice versa?

Nothya, I have seen design in couple of blogs and like the idea ... saves space and makes use of the available space on washing machine.
And maybe like Deepa said, some kind of basic water cleaning and recycling added would make it more interesting (and may be slight expensive)

Well ya i had to write this by looking at the article on thedesignblog, where you previously commented ;) I love this machine because this is something i could purchase for my house too as it save immense amount of space! Manish (and i have spelt your name right :P ) think harder!! When two things like this get merged don’t you think it will also save water, which is does. So there i hope i answered your question appropriately ;)

Oh and what do you mean by making it more interesting and more expensive? Seriously why in the world do you want a product to be expensive?? Coming back to the interesting bit, I think its very interesting as its stylish, space saving and helps save water and it’s great that the product can deliver all this at the same time!

LOL” Seriously why in the world do you want a product to be expensive?”
no no.. I was thinking aloud.. that if water cleaning/ recycling system is added, it may make more interesting but also more expensive .. not that I want it to be expensive :)

Ok firstly this product has the water saving feature, secondly I don’t know much about the price on this one. But I really hope something of this sort gets launched in India and is reasonably priced, I think this one is a keeper for sure. What are your takes on this Manish and thank you for checking out my posts on a regular basis, means a lot!:)

Even I love this idea. And if see this launched in India, I will sure buy it.
And hey no need to say thanks, eco and conservation is my interest and being on ecofriend has helped me a lot, thanks to you guys :)
