Do you think that getting renewable energy for your home is something that would require you to rebuilt your whole mansion? Well, think again! A company known as Aerotecture has developed a new kind of wind turbine known as the Aeroturbine, which can be mounted on existing buildings with ease providing you with cheap, renewable electricity.

The company claims that their unique design has made their machines quite, bird-safe and vibration free. This design enables the turbines to be made a part of existing rooftops and new buildings. The company also states that in order to operate efficiently the turbines must be installed 40 feet above the ground in areas with average wind speeds of at least 10 mph.
