In Florida, Aqua Sciences has developed a technology of extracting water from air. It is a research made by Darpa sponsored. This company has installed the mobile water extraction labs in all over Iraq.

Wall Street Journal has recently awarded this firm with Silver Medal during annual Technology Innovation awards. The Journal stated, “technology uses a blend of salts to collect water, then employs the combination of heat, chemistry and mechanics to extract the water from the salts.”

There are a few interesting facts disclosed on the Aqua Sciences website. For Instance, on disaster sites, Aqua Sciences™ atmospheric water extraction machines can be installed to capture and purify water.

These machines can effectively provide 350-1200 gallons of water daily, charging $0.25 per gallon. These machines are eco-friendly and powered by electricity or diesel generator.
