Beer Can House: Say Cheers to Green Creativity
Rekha | Mar 10 2008

If you thought recycling products means creating a piece of furniture or sculpture from binned products, think again. Green creativity is really at its best when the products are functional and elegant. John Milkovisch’s beer castle is one such example. He collected over 50,000 beer cans over a period of twenty years and clad his house with maintenance-free flattened beer cans. The tinkling beer can tops and tabs serves double purpose, for creating shade and adding an interesting decorative element to the entrance. The seven-year project cost Milkovish over $400,000. Now, who says castles are built only in the air, they are built with beer (cans) too!
