I have been collecting empty glass bottles to sell them as scrap. But this DIY idea made me change my mind. I think I will test my creative thumb and make up some attractive art de décor stuff from them. Cutting glass is easier than you might think, especially after a bit of practice. After watching the video here, I think it’s just like doing it in school’s craft class. It is an excellent Green idea for all those who appreciate creative ways over the use of heavy duty tools and equipment. All you need is an empty glass bottle, some alcohol, a small string of thread and a match box. You need to soak the thread in alcohol and then tied it on the desired location on the bottle. Then light the thread with fire and wait till it goes out. Lastly soak it in tub of (cold) water I suppose. Voila! Your base is ready. Now don’t wait for me to tell you how to decorate it too.
