Eco Factor: Sustainable complex designed to harness solar energy and rainwater.

Korean design studio Dakhu Studio has proposed a sustainable complex for Taipei’s Pop Music Center that will consist of a series of environmentally controlled public outdoor spaces, which can be reconfigured as needed for year-round use. The structure is also designed to form a public music sphere where visitors can have free access to music.

The complex features vertically stacked solid platforms that provide space for indoor exhibitions and support. The Taipei Pop Music Center will harvest rainwater for hydro-cooling systems, where the top platform works as a basin to collect water. The platform is also equipped with photovoltaic panels that generate solar energy to power the building.
