Eco Factor: Sustainable multipurpose complex preserves nature.
Row // Studio have proposed Evergreen La Florida, a sustainable multipurpose complex in Mexico City that will feature luxury apartment complex and the headquarters for the foundation that finances the project.
The buildings of the complex aren’t constructed in place of trees, but will be developed in a way that all the existing trees are preserved. The facades of the buildings are covered in living plants to camouflage the complex behind the trees.
The unique construction will make the inhabitants of the luxury apartments think that they’re living on treetops. The parking and service areas will be built below the buildings to maximize the soil porosity and to avoid any unnecessary visual obstruction on the ground level, which becomes a continuous garden.
The sustainable complex will also cater to privacy as all the ground level apartments will be covered with bushes, which ensures adequate level of privacy and makes the inhabitants enjoy a 200sqm private patio that surrounds them.
The rooftops of all the buildings will be covered with vegetation. The roof gardens will also provide green space for gatherings, meals and other social functions.
