Eco Architecture: designer green homes spin on axis for heat regulation
Sameer Kumar | Sep 30 2008

Eco Factor: Green and sustainable homes that can withstand natural disasters and spin around for better heat regulation and air circulation.

The designer homes by Solaleya that spin around on an axis and have the look of an alien spaceship with fabulous green features, take green architecture to a new and strange level. The homes are a bit like amphitheaters in design, and they can spin around to control both temperature and wind circulation. The interior seems to be filled with green features as well, and the homes are designed to reduce the carbon footprint, by avoiding additional power consuming heating systems. The design and the intent both appear pretty cool indeed!

The Dark Side:

These green homes are not meant for everyone, as surely a home as special and unique as this would cost pretty much a fortune. One could go a lot greener for a lot less, if we were happy to drop the style and the design and just stick to eco-friendly features.

This design to too outlandish for me. I won’t want my house to rotate. How will I ever make a pathway to my main door???
