Eco Cars: BirdWing - Fly to the future on colorful green wings!
Sameer Kumar | Oct 10 2008

EcoFactor: A futuristic concept car that draws its inspiration from nature (a butterfly) and uses green features such as LED lighting.

The BirdwWing is one of the most beautiful and compact concept cars that we have seen in some time. The car seems to draw its inspiration from the vibrant colors and lustrous hues of the natural world. According to its designers, Chen-Wei Chang and Hsuan-Ju Chia, the concept car takes its inspiration from a butterfly in full flight. The car tries to incorporate the beauty and the sheer magic of those effervescent colors in its flowing design and bright bodywork. The car incorporates green features such as LED display lights that save on energy. Its automatic driving mode and Head-Up Display surely set it apart from the mob of concept cars around.

The Dark Side:

While the designers seemed to have derived inspiration from nature, the green features seem to be few. The car surely must run on an all-electric engine with the look it sports, but we do not know that for sure. It would have been nice if the designers had clarified what exactly they wish to put under the hood of this delicate design.

This one is an eye-catcher! The Bird-Wing alone sets this car apart from other Eco Concept Car. I like this one! Stacey’s Auto Parts Resources
