Eco Cars: Tazzari debuts ZERO EV at Bologna Motor Show

Eco Factor: Zero-emission car powered by electricity.

Italian electric vehicle manufacturer, Tazzari, has launched a new vehicle at the Bologna Motor Show. Dubbed the ZERO, the all-electric car has a range of 88 miles and can hit a top speed of 56mph. The car’s onboard batteries can be recharged in 10 hours via a 220V wall socket.

The $30,000 car weighs in at just 540kg, and features an aluminum chassis and has go-kart handling with the electric batteries churning out 120 foot-pound of torque. The vehicle can be driven in four different modes, one of which is a full race mode. The ZERO comes with four-wheel disc brakes and features a regenerative braking mechanism that recharges the vehicle whenever the brakes are applied.
