EcoFactor: A sustainable dance club.
I never thought I would ever be able to coin a term like “green disco” in my entire life, but the newest dance club at Rotterdam proves me wrong by being eco-friendly. This is by far the first initiative taken by a disco and it is certainly worth applauding. The features include energy-generating LED dance floors (kinetic energy), toilets flushed with rainwater (saves 50% on water), walls that change color in response to temperature fluctuations, reduction in CO2 emissions by 30%, and waste reduction by 50%.
I am not much of a party girl, but I absolutely adore this idea. This concept opens doors for many more ideas and it’s a perfect example of creative and progressive thinking. I certainly hope this idea picks up and becomes the new “in” thing for a greener, healthier and safer tomorrow!
The Dark Side:
No demerit whatsoever. In fact, it’s a welcome change to see an environment usually known for being not very eco-friendly suddenly convert into an eco-sensitive place.

Hmmm, this idea better catch up, i need to get a lot of guilt off my shoulders :)
But yeah, amazing concept really, they should also chip in using eco-friendly paper for all sorts of stuff at this disco. Definitely a reason to party!
Nithya, I had read about similar disco in London and they had gone a step further. You get discount on entrance fee if you travel to the disco in environment friendly manner i.e by bicycle or walk down. I think this whole idea is cool!
