EcoFactor: Designs made of bamboo.

What do you have to say about an exhibition, purely dedicated to Japanese bamboo? Well, at first I thought it was weird, but have a glance at these fabulous designs and I guarantee that you’d fall in love with them. I have never been a fan of modern art, mostly because I have never been able to decipher it! But this, my friends, is the work of sheer genius, and the best bit? You don’t need to be a typical “arty” person to be mesmerized by these art pieces. The exhibition, called New Bamboo, features the works of art by 23 artists, whose designs are bound to leave you spellbound. Who knew bamboo could be made to look so stylish!

The Dark Side:

Since bamboo is renewable and doesn’t cause any harm whatsoever to the environment, I fail to see a downside!

Very nice forms. Some of these forms look like there are representing furniture, I but question their functionality. I love artistic design and tend enjoy well designed, ergonomic furniture. These are more sculpture to me.. I like what i see... but is it considered furniture or art. I’m an artist and always question my own design...love to see more. Please contact me if your have other links. thanks. aldo
