The $22 gadget is actually a four-port USB hub that doubles its application by serving as a solar-powered charger for your mobile phone. The device uses solar energy to power its built-in battery, which can then be used to charge a mobile phone and probably other portable gadgets as well.

The handy gadget has been aimed toward frequent travelers who mostly lose the charge on their cellphone during their trip making them work hard to get connected to a wall socket. The charger is said to be compatible with various models of Nokia, Samsung, Motorola and Sony Ericsson as well. The company states that the charger makes use of a highly-efficient solar panel that is quite sensitive and can work even under weak light conditions.
