Eco Factor: Air filter to improve indoor air quality.

Alen Corp. has launched the Airnamic Green, a new air filter aimed to reduce indoor air pollution by removing polluting particles of dust, pet dander, grass, tree pollen and other allergens commonly found indoors. This new air filter is made from 100% recycled materials that include trashed plastic water bottles. Not only does the air filter’s recycled construction prove to be a boon for the environment, it also cuts down on electricity use due to an energy-efficient design. The air filter comes in 22 different designs that make it ideal for use with most HVAC units.

The Dark Side:

Recycling plastic is not as eco-efficient a task as it should be. It does help in reducing plastic waste, but recycling it into something new requires a large amount of energy.
