Eco Factor: Lenovo launches new workstations to meet Energy Star rating of 5.
The unfortunate credit crunch and continued cost cutting coupled with the rising costs of energy have temped computer manufacturer Lenovo to debut new workstations that do more without consuming more energy. The workstations launched by Lenovo will meet an Energy Star Rating of 5. The company has done that not just on one or two products, but they have launched an entire fleet of 25 products, all of which will adhere to the same energy specifications.
The Dark Side:
Energy efficiency usually comes at a high cost, so with the technical specifications and the pricing information still a mystery it would be interesting to see how these credit-crunch-inspired systems by Lenovo get rated.
