Eco Factor: Portable wind turbine for home use.
Wind turbines, a clean way to harness the ecological and renewable source of wind energy, are designed generally for commercial use. Oskar Zieta in collaboration with ETH Zurich has come up with a sustainable, renewable wind turbine called the FIDU Rotor for household owners. This small and efficient FIDU rotor, based on FIDU technology, is a vertical axis wind turbine designed for individual use. The FIDU Rotor has the capability to power an average household with four inhabitants.
The lightweight turbine makes use of a small amount of material so the production cost is low and helps in saving money in terms of energy usage and also helps save the environment. The FIDU Rotor sounds like a big step forward in encouraging homeowners to join the green wave.
