Getting an iPhone is cool enough, but if you can charge it up with a yo-yo then that would be the icing on the style statement. It is not just a fancy concept but a very real charger that has been crafted by Swedish designer Peter Thuvander. Being a Swede, Peter realized that solar power would not really work half the time in a country like Sweden and decided to use another alternate source for energy—human power. But he added a cool twist to the green tale and several turns too with the yo-yo charger for the iPhone. The charger converts the energy generated by the movement of the yo-yo using the principle of electromagnetic induction and stores the charge obtained in a small Li-ion battery. This can be used to charge up your latest cool gadget at any point.
The Dark Side:
There is very little dark about this technology apart from the fact that it may not really be appealing to those past their mid 20’s. Other than that, the yo-yo should be a huge hit.
