Eco Factor: MP3 player powered by solar energy.

Kiwie Jewels, an Italian design firm, has launched a new solar-powered, jewel encrusted MP3 player known as the SunBeat. The SunBeat is designed especially for the eco-fashionistas of the urban world. While providing you with great quality music and being used as a stylish necklace, the device’s built-in solar panels can be turned toward the sunlight for on-the-move charging.

The device’s built-in 2GB memory can be used to store MP3, WMA and U-Disk files. The best feature is that the device can hold your secret files as well, which remain hidden and can only be accessed through a special cable supplied along with the device. The MP3 player is priced at $90.

The Dark Side:

The jewel-encrusted MP3 player is great if you only have a small collection of songs and don’t like videos at all. In the world where MP3 players are available with 80Gigs of memory and video playback features, the SunBeat’s 2GB of onboard space would be a major drawback.
