Eco Factor: Concept manhole cover powered by hydroelectricity.

Industrial designers Cheolyeon Jo and Youngsun Lee have come up with electronic manhole covers that apart from performing their primary function can also be used to direct you to the nearest bus stop or train station.

Dubbed Eco Sign, the digital manhole covers harness rainwater to generate hydroelectricity, which keeps their systems ticking. All you have to do is to tap your foot left or right and it gives you instant information about the nearest train station or bus stop.
