Eco Factor: Solar-powered pathway lights.
In the future people will have to make use of renewable forms of energy such as sun and wind to keep their walkways in good shape. Wind energy systems are not really portable, hence solar energy will have to play a major role in the world of tomorrow. Solar Form Lighting is one such concept that can keep our pathways illuminated with high intensity LED lights. Made from polyurethane and polycarbonate, the Solar Form lanterns are equipped with high intensity LEDs that illuminate the evenings. The system is wired to the mains to back up the LEDs on hazy days.
The Dark Side:
The incorporation of LEDs in the lighting system will minimize the use of electricity, even if the lamp is connected to the mains. The lamp design is simply stunning and has left nothing for us to evaluate critically.
