Eco Factor: High school powered entirely by renewable energy.

The City of Angels High School in Los Angeles has become the greenest school in America, as it is powered entirely by renewable energy. The school is equipped with 36 wind turbines and photovoltaic panels in conjunction with a green roof and systems that maximize the use of natural light and ventilation.

Specific insulation materials will also be used to cut down on energy consumption. The size of the school has also been limited to preserve the natural space around it. Designed by CO Architects, the school should serve as a model for others to follow for a greener future.
