Eco Factor: Home Theater system powered by solar energy.

Working with a team of vendors, the Home Theater Specialists of America (HTSA) have developed a solar-powered home theater system, which they call the “Guiltless Green Home Theater”. The system was unveiled at the group’s spring meeting and will soon be available on the market.

The system includes a Sharp projector, a 100” Steward Film screen, six SpeakerCraft in-wall speakers, an Integra AV receiver, Monster Cable wiring, Lutron lighting and all this is controlled by a Universal Remote Control. The system was installed by HiFi House Design with some technical help from LG Energy Solutions. The entire setup is complimented by furniture designed by Salamander. HTSA claims that the roof mounted solar panels generate enough power to keep the system running for over 19 hours.
