Eco Tech: Mars Chocolate company gets a 2MW solar garden

Eco Factor: Solar array with a peak output of 2MW installed at Mars Chocolate’s headquarters.

The Mars Chocolate company has announced the development of a 2MW solar garden at its North American headquarters in Hackettstown, New Jersey. The plant consists of more than 28,000 ground-mounted solar panels that collectively have a peak output of 2MW.

The solar garden has been built and is owned by PSEG Solar Source and supplies 20% of the plant’s energy needs. The chocolate company has contracted for the entire output of the plant.
