Eco Tech: Recycled Encapsulator Gran Trap – An eco-friendly training solution for the Army
Madan | May 21 2009

Eco Factor: Bullet Encapsulator is made up of recycled rubber that helps recover bullets for recycling.

Each of us is equally responsible toward our environment. Whatever the task, the after-effects on the environment must be considered before pursuing it further. And this applies to the Army also. Therefore, the U.S. 3rd Army Special Forces, in collaboration with Range Systems, have developed an eco-friendly high round capacity trap. The Encapsulator granular rubber bullet trap is made up of recycled rubber and can be used both for indoor and outdoor training. It helps in recovering the bullets fired for further recycling.

Further, it solves the hazardous problems associated with mining sand, bullet fragments and dust created by traditional steel traps. Granulated rubber and steel make it virtually safer and set soldiers free from concerns regarding ricochets, splatter or airborne lead. The trap is meant to provide a high-volume shooting environment with low cost maintenance.
