Let me just get to the point on this one and let me do it right away. This is probably one of the best television sets that I have seen in a long, long time. Most people say that you get fat sitting in the couch and staring at the idiot box for hours at length. Well, here is the Pedal Powered Television and if you ask me, then this is the perfect gift for my girlfriend this Valentines day. (I would actually get killed for saying this, but then she never reads anything I write, so I’m spared). I know plenty of others who could use this and benefit endlessly from it.
The concept is basically very simple and not too hard to understand. It is just the extended principle of a Dynamo that is used to give light to your bicycles. It converts your mechanical energy produced by pedaling in to electrical energy through the principle of electromagnetism. The entire energy is stored in a capacitor so as to only allow continuous flow of current without any fluctuations emanating from your pedaling speed. The current is then used to simply put, switch on your television set.
The entire set up is not too difficult to put together all on your own. It is simple and works wonderfully well. If you have that someone special in your home obsessed with soaps, then this is the perfect way to keep them healthy. Just give them this marvelous present and say, “You want to watch; then pedal on”. Ok, Maybe I put it in a very torturous way, but then some just don’t listen easy. I know some girls who would pedal across the planet happily to watch their prime time weepy nonsense but would not lift a finger while still paying for the gym. I suppose this makes it perfect gym equipment too. Who ever came up with the idea- Well done mate!
