Frito Lay made significant announcements regarding the installation of solar electric power system in the Arizona Service Center. This 201 KW system features 1,000 Kyocera high output 200 watt photovoltaic modules. Thus, it will be the largest photovoltaic system which is business owned in Arizona.
Annual production of electricity by this system will be around 350,00 KW hours. It will directly supply power to meet the electricity requirements of Frito Lay. To make this system more lucrative, Arizona is also offering incentives to customers having PV system or solar powered water heaters.
This great invention is done by American Solar Electric, Inc., a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based firm. They have specialization in PV system. To attain great results, Frito Lay has installed PV systems ion various distribution centers of California and New York.
