How to make a solar powered room heater
Piyush | Jan 16 2008

Would you like to make a solar powered room heater all by yourself? Well be it a cold autumn, winter or spring day with temperatures of a few degrees. This self-powered device can heat up your room from 10 degrees to 29. With the constantly rising price of natural gas and heating oil, this project is gaining more and more importance. Just let it run, if the sun shines on the box, warm air will flow out of the top duct.

This box can pay for itself over time by lowering your utility bills. During the summer months when additional heat is not desired, the glass front of the solar furnace should be covered with a reflective surface such as a piece of plywood or metal. It is possible to scale this project up to any size depending on the size of the room. Some projects are simple and easy to configure and I can assure you this is one of them for which you wouldn’t need to think twice before starting.
