Panasonic's Evolta - World's longest lasting alkaline battery
Piyush | Jan 16 2008

One of the big gun in the electronic world (Panasonic) has entered its name in the Guinness World Records for creating the world’s longest lasting alkaline battery. Their new Evolta battery cell will keep gadgets running 20 percent longer than offerings from rivals Duracell and Energizer, as well as its own upscale Oxyride batteries. Evolta goes on sale in April in Japan with a price tag of about 590 yen ($6.30) for a pack of four, or about 15 percent higher than regular batteries and 3 percent higher than Oxyride and has a 10 years shelf life. Good going Panasonic!
