Pedal-powered bicycle trainer washes clothes, generates electricity

Some people keep redefining the word – optimum utilization, and that’s the reason people like Dave stand out from the normal. Let me acquaint you with the power of pedal from the ‘abnormal world’. The design describes the mechanical and electrical capabilities of peddle power. It’s a dual pedal power system, with a pedal powered washing machine spinning clothes dry, and a separate belt going to a generator for electricity.

The interface has been built to make both the work possible by modifying the indoor bicycle trainer. Dave added a pulley to the wheel-side and replaced the magnetic resistance with another pulley. Flipping one belt off and the other one on is all that’s required to convert for electric generation (DC motor spins backwards interacting current to the circuit). The circuit includes a capacitor and an inverter so that any house hold appliance can be powered directly just by plugging it in (including a cell phone charger).
