Peugeot 888, the shape-shifting green car!
Nithya N | Aug 27 2008

Here’s a two-seated car that is able to lie flat on the highway, along with the knack of shrinking down on busy roads to give away space, offering better parking. Purely ingenious, I say! Designed by Oskar Johansen from Norway, this vehicle makes room for your extra luggage in case you are in a mood to pack your bags and leave for a holiday in the countryside.

The wheels are powered by electric motors running off an array of lithium-ion batteries, which are covered by solar panels. The car is cleverly crafted by keeping the growing environmental woes in mind, resulting in an eco-concerned futuristic vehicle for the city.

Hey, this is the 2nd shape changing eco-friendly car I have read about in 2 days! Looks like in future we won’t need to have 2 cars.. Just have one car that will be small car for city driving and convert it into big car when you hit highway.

That is one sexy car. I have to admit that this one of the best looking future car designs. and this sure have gas mileage improvements.
