Plastic printer made from plant!
Irani | Jun 7 2006

Ya, you got it right. This is a plastic printer. Though there is nothing much special about the printer, but it is the material the plastic is made of, which puts it to the headline.

The plastic the printer is made of is plant-based! The material it is made of is lactic acid that forms during corn, potatoes, and sugar cane fermentation. Though these plant plastics are a bit expensive, Ricoh wanted to go eco-friendly and hence has decided to use it for two of their multi-function devices.
