Recycle Your Mobile Phones Now
Irani | Feb 1 2006

Planning a mobile phone for your fiance this Valentines Day? It would surely be a great gift. But, what about the old one she/he has been possessing one these days? Or even your phone that has become unwanted or is of no much of use presently? Surely, they must be heading for the landfill! Don’t do that. Here is a better use for this.

Do you know, 48,000 women farmers in The Gambia would put them to good use as the average wage in The Gambia is £5 per week and mobile phones cost the same as here? But you must be thinking on how to get the mobiles to The Gambia and out of the clutches of landfill?

Well publishers Duncan and Susanne Ashcroft of The Environment Times have come up with its solution. Thanks to them. All you need to do is to help one Gambian woman farmer (and save a bit of needless landfill) is to send your used mobile phone to: FREEPOST GREEN GAMBIA.
