Recycle your old Mobiles For Needy Children
Lakshmi | Oct 3 2007

Every year around the world, there are millions of people who have old mobile phones which are no longer in use and are just gathering dust. Now there is a better use to these.

People can now recycle them and help out in a good cause. With Children In Need, millions of households throughout England will receive Freepost envelopes soon.

This was kickstarted on the BBC’s The One Show. It will run in partnership with Fonebak. For every usable mobile phone that is received, £5 will be donated to Children in Need.

Other phones received will be recycled so as to make sure that none of it goes to landfill sites. Last year this scheme raised over £320,000 for Children in Need. This year hopefully, will be even more successful.
