Solar water heater from refrigerator scraps

While you might be in a quandary deciding on the future of your old refrigerator, before deciding on the ways to dispose it stop a minute and read about the wonders your old refrigerator can do once its parts are recycled. In the age of recycling, scraps from old refrigerators can be used to construct solar water heater. In fact, if you are interested in some arty works you can use the scraps from your old refrigerator to build the solar water heater yourself.

Dislodge the door of the refrigerator and remove the heat exchanger from the fridge and place it on the door, then attach the copper tubing from the refrigerator to it to extend the heat exchangers coils through the insulated wall. The different parts are then fitted with stove bolts. Pieces of cardboards are used to cover the insulation. The heat exchanger and then the cardboard are colored with black paint. Two pieces of glass are fitted on the collector box and the solar water heater is ready.
