Sollight introduces a very interesting, high utility product – lightcap water bottle. As the name suggests it has a light cap with a light, thus serving two purposes.
You can fill up the bottle with your favourite drink, as well as the light on its cap during a power failure. The sub-feature of the light is that, you can switch from bright LED light to dimmer red light and vise versa. The red light can also be used as a night lamp considering the energy consumption for red light is much lesser. Leave it out in the sun or may be hang it from a railing during the day time to charge the battery for a night-long glow.
The bottle is made of EDM-etched polycarbonate which will not retain unwanted flavours after washing. The solar power unit is totally sealed - molded in from the top (outside) of the cap so there’s no possible contact with the contents of the bottle. Integrated light sensor prevents accidental battery discharge during the day. There is a water proof switch to change LED light to red light or switch it off. It is a recessed three position switch which can not accidentally turn-on.
The water bottle weight 11oz, stands 8¼ inches tall and 3¾ inches wide. The lightcap bottle uses Ni-Cad batteries that will last 300 cycles requiring to charge 4 hours under the sun and the light can be used for hours.
The lightcap should be a lot useful when on a trip. It radiates light all around it and can be used as an emergency backup during power outages, to read maps and not to mention changing tires!
