The name says it all. This concept of Amphibious Bicycle by Chinese designers Bin Yu and Jian Wang is as clear as it can be. For all those who need to travel by road and water often, this mode of transport will be just what doctor’s ordered. Cycling their way as finalist into the 12th International Bicycle Design Competition with their amphibian cycle, the designers have focused on practicality and simplicity. Although the concept of this kinda cycle isn’t too new, this particular design takes the cake for being uber versatile. You can cycle on terra firma like any regular bicycle but when its time to cross a water body, the inflatable wheels that fit inside the existing wheels are in action. You too can enjoy the idea of living....or rather traveling like an amphibian animal!
