Yamaha EC-Dii - cute, trendy and eco-friendly

A large number of companies these days are not going just the commercial way, but they also seem to be socially and environmentally conscious. But that again could be a business strategy to meet the competition. Nevertheless the so long as there is a beneficial aspect, why not appreciate it. Yamaha Motor Co. has intended to display the new EC-Dii prototype at the Tokyo Motor Show to be held from 27th Oct to 11th Nov. the beneficial aspect of this bike is that it uses methanol-water as fuel to be run.

The bike’s features include compact cell stack with the highest level of power density in the 1kW class, a detachable lithium-ion battery for easy recharging, Yamaha assures 30% efficiency for a DMFC (Direct Methanol Fuel Cell) system. This high power-efficient bike is not eco-friendly but also looks compact and trendy. It is expected to gain all the college-goers’ popularity.
